Covering 3,000 square kilometers, this place is more than 4,000 meters above sea level and is the second highest plateau (plain) in the world. From November to May the area is completely covered by snow while the spring season in Deosai is in August when millions of wildflowers bloom on the thick lush green grass and the fragrance of every hundred blooming flowers fills your eyes. Well doneIt does. The reflection of the snow-capped mountain peaks in the crystal clear water and hundreds of species of butterflies make the environment so dreamy that Deosai feels like heaven. There are also numerous war animals in the field of Deosai. Among them are Himalayan ibex, snow leopard, marmot, sheep, etc. This area has been given the status of a National Park in 1993 for the survival and protection of the rapidly disappearing species of these animals. At some distance from Bada Pani, there is a river called Kala Pani and your next Badaau from the river is Shivsar Lake. Camping sites have been constructed for tourists at five places in Deosai. They include Ali Malik, Khattang River, Bada Pani River, Kala Pani River, and Shivsar Lake. If luck is with you, you can catch a glimpse of the peaks of K2 and Misha Broome when the weather is clear and at its best. Which can be a beautiful memory forever.

A road leads to Da Suga from Kasi Gaus, 25 km away on the Skardu road. It can be reached in an hour. Dasu is a 3-day trek to the beautiful Katwal Tejhil of Har Amush Valley and back to Vasu. It depends on you if you are a good tracker and have the stamina to come back early. There is no accommodation at all en route. Bring your own camping and food supplies. A few small dhabas in the market of Dasu and Skri will be shaken. Continuing on the main highway, a memorial to those who lost their lives during the construction of the road has been erected at Shanks, 52 km from Skardu Mor. About 30 kilometers from Phoenix is the small town of Rondo, which used to be a state. NAPWD Rat House is also located here. 22 km from Rondo in the city of Dumbo and another 38 km to cross a bridge across the river. From here a path to the right leads to Fikkar or Lake. This is where the valley begins to expand. Skardu Airport is 22 km further and Skardu City is 13 km further.

Astor is an old city situated at an altitude of 3200 meters above sea level. Before the establishment of Pakistan, the road was used to go to Gilgit from the city of Srinagar in Occupied Kashmir. This district of Gilgit-Baltistan is at a distance of 115 km from Gilgit City. On the Karakoram Highway from Gilgit to Rawalpindi, the road from Tapichi takes a right turn for Astor. Here the river Astoor with all its paraphernalia meanders along the road. There are a few hotels and a small market in the town of Astor. Rama, Rehmanpur, Gorikot, Yoonji, Dashkan, Chilam, Ratu, etc. are the main villages. From Astor, you can go to Nanga Parbat (Royal Face), Deosai, Rama Yak Trashing Valley Rupal Valley, etc. Apart from this, Chilam Poonchi, Shakan, Singsar, Rahmanpur, Kala Pani Honey Marg, Mayaba Ho, Domel, and Gorikot areas are also good for tourism. If you want to go to Sukkur, you can go from Chalam Choki via Deosai Maidan, Shivsar Lake, and Orst Para Lake. All these areas can be visited by jeep only. Mani Murg, Rainbolak, and some other beautiful areas are considered sensitive due to their proximity to the Indo-Pak border. Therefore, a special permit is required to visit certain areas. which can be obtained in advance by furnishing all necessary information from the concerned Army office. If you see the city of Astoor, you feel that you have seen these beautiful scenes in Amri Ka and Boy movies. The Hina language is spoken locally in Astor.

From Raikot Bridge, 61 km from Chilas, a track leads right to the idol on Nanga, the ninth highest peak in the world and the second highest in Pakistan. This 8125 meter high peak is also known as Color Mountain. It is extremely difficult to top. Dia Meer, Roopal and Raikot bring out the best in her face which is different in appearance, texture and shape from every angle. Camp Ferry Meadows is the ultimate dream destination for aspiring mountaineers on Nanga. Due to the beauty of this trek to Ferry Meadows and the beautiful scenery on the way, in 1953 Austrian mountaineer Hermann Bahl named it “Ferry Meadows”. This green area leading up to the Nanga Parbat base camp offers excellent camping opportunities for tourists. There are pockets near the Shangri-La Hotel next to Raikot Bridge. Half way from Raikot Bridge by jeep is an adventure-filled journey of eight kilometers and half an hour. The jeep will take you to Phori and Tu village. After a three-hour trek from here, you can reach this dreamy valley.Hotels, tents for accommodation in this beautiful region covered with mountains, snow-capped peaks. Panj, food and drink facilities are also available. Apart from horse riding, one can go fishing at the nearby lake. There are also the best greens for cricket, qabal, polo matches. Ferry Meadows Site Camp is located at an altitude of 3306 meters. At night, domestic and foreign tourists who have come to Ferry Meadows wander around and return to the site camp, then a campfire is held. And all the tourists sit around the bonfire and sing the local songs of their region, so at that time there is no race and color and only one tourist. The route is open from May to August, after which it becomes difficult to reach due to snowfall. Two hours away from the site camp is Bial Camp which is the campsite. There is also a restaurant here. At a further two hours’ drive, at an altitude of 4500 meters above sea level, there is our camp at Nanga Parbat. According to famous travel writer Mustansar Hussain Tarar, fairies land here. Seeing the greenery of the ferry meadows, one remembers powerless Kashmir. Now we come back to Raikot and proceed towards Gilgit.
