Toli Peer is a breath taking site. You will feel like you’re on top of the world here. The hilltop is in the Poonch District of Azad Kashmir, on the Pakistani side of the Line of Control (LOC), in the northeastern corner of Rawalakot Tehsil, at a height of 2,666m (8,418ft) above sea level and approximately 30 kilometers from Rawalakot. Driving there takes around 40-50 minutes. Banjosa Lake is another popular tourist attraction on the way to Toli Peer.
Tolipeer is the most hilly site in Rawalakot’s northeastern part and the starting point for three major mountain ridges: Ganga Choti, Pir Chanasi, and Sarwali Peak. It is easy accessible because the weather is cool in the summers and bitterly frigid in the winters. The main draw for trekkers and mountaineers is Tolipeer.
The route to this resort is a single track with several bends and blind corners and is not well maintained. However, the journey to this place is also scenic. Anyone without prior driving expertise in such places should hire a car with a local driver who is familiar with the roads and region, especially if they need to return late at night. Sedans, on the other hand, can easily get there.
We recommend touring the area on foot at least as far as the top, where you will see that clouds, like in heaven, surround it. Summer is the best season to visit this location because it is at its best. Winters will be snow-covered. Toli Peer is an incredible place for walking and barbecuing. If you enjoy nature and want to get away from the city’s stress and pollution, this is the place to be.Ā
