Aros Ko Hisar, Kaghan Valley is popularly known as the Blue Land of Lakes. Snow-capped peaks, green forests, rushing rivers, long glaciers, and cascading waterfalls are the hallmarks of this valley. The total area of Wadai Kaghan extending from Balakot to Dara Babusar range is 1627 sq km. In the north of this 161 km long valley is Gilgit, in the east and south, is the beautiful region of Kashmir Jannat Nazir Azad Kashmir, and in the west is the mountain range of Kohistan. The climate of the Kaghan Valley is generally cold. May to mid-October is the tourist season. While summer temperatures of 5 to 20 degrees Celsius are ideal from May onwards. Mid-July to mid-August is the monsoon season. Therefore, during this period, landslides occur due to rain. Due to this, the routes are sometimes blocked. All types of public transport are available from Karachi, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Lahore, and Rawalpindi to Mansehra throughout the year. A direct wagon from Mansehra to Naran is also available. It is up to you if you intend to land somewhere along the way. If you are four to eight people, hire a jeep from Mansehra or Balakot. The advantage of the jeep will be that you will not have to arrange a jeep again in areas where a car or a wagon cannot go. Apart from this, Suzuki Carry coaches are also available from Mansehra which takes you to Babusar Top. But for Sri Paya, Shogran, Lalazar Lake Saiful Mulok you will have to get a jeep. It is better to tell the jeep driver the area per day for as many days as you intend to travel and settle everything with him. The biggest advantage of this will be that wherever you see the scenery, you can stop the jeep and enjoy it. From May to September PIDC departs daily at 9 am from Fleshman Hotel Rawalpindi to Naran.
