Babusar Top

From Gaya Ras village, the road starts going uphill. A steep ascent of about seven kilometers will take you to the 13687 feet high Babusar Top at the end of the Kaghan Valley. Until reaching the summit, green mountains and snow-capped peaks are seen everywhere. While on the other side of the small one will see dry mountains. In 1892, the British built this track for the passage of their horses, which became a regular track with frequent use. Before the construction of the Silk Road, the northern areas of Gilgit-Baltistan were connected to Wadi Naran by this route. Babusar is the starting point of the top monsoon belt. The weather is very cold due to strong winds. Don’t forget to bring a warm hat and jacket. There is also a temporary arrangement for overnight stay. Thirteen kilometers away on the other side of the top is Babosar village. Thirteen kilometers of descent will bring you nearly five and a half thousand feet above sea level. And further 37 kilometers further on the Karakoram Highway is the town of Chilas. It is up to you if you want to go camping. Generally the Siyars stop for two to three hours and go back to Naran or further to Chalas. Hanam will go to Mansehra via Chilas instead of Silk Road. Therefore, from here we will take the route back to Mansehra.
